What to wear home from the hospital after giving birth? You’re going to want to keep a few things in mind as you decide what you want to wear home! Here are the factors to think about when you’re packing your going home outfit for mom!
Comfort -- you’ll likely be sore, so this isn’t the time to try to squeeze into anything that is rough. Soft fabrics are your friend - and if you’ll be leaving the hospital after a C-section, this is especially important!
The ability to wear for at least the first few months of post-partum -- it will take some time for your body to return to its pre-baby state
Clothing items that will make you feel confident -- after all, you just gave birth to another human!
Versatility -- if you’re buying a few pieces, you want to be able to layer based on changing weather and as your own body temperature regulates
Your post-partum plans -- if you will be sharing photos on Instagram, receiving guests in your home, or attending any event, you’ll likely want to keep that in mind as you shop. And there’s no reason you shouldn’t splurge on a few things!

Invest in nursing tanks if you’re planning to breastfeed! You can layer a cardigan or scarf in cooler temperatures and for modesty.
