Newborn and Family: Introducing the Baby
In the pre-Covid days, family and friends would visit the hospital to meet the new baby - but now the meet-the-baby moments are happening when you bring your baby home! So what do you wear to introduce the baby to older siblings or grandparents? What’s a good post-partum outfit for a sip-and-see, or an appropriate bris outfit? You’ll definitely want something slightly dressier, but the same principles apply (see my previous post, where I outline how to think about postpartum clothing and clothing investments). So without further ado, what to wear after having a baby - the dressier edit!

The obsession with the Nap Dress is real… it’s a great fit, and super flattering for pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, post-partum, and breast-feeding… plus a female-founded company (the founder and CEO is also a mom of 3!). My recommendation is to stick to your normal size or size down - the smocking provides a lot of stretch!
